29 Faces Sept 2013

Found my paints (yep we fell out), art desk & got my brushes in hand... and excited to be a part of 29 Faces in September :) Thanks to Martha who energetically hosts this mini marathon :) It's been so long since I've posted but I hope to keep up & also visit all the other participants who have accepted the challenge over the month of September!

I will be updating this page over the month of September (hopefully daily) with new faces, just click on the links to see new art & please leave a comment or say hiddy ho & I'll come visit you too!

Day 9 - Faces around the World - This one below I did on the weekend, it was started by Martha, then tag teamed me & tomorrow will be posted to... Dawn (have fun Dawn)!

Day 10 - Faces around the World - Below's canvas arrived Monday, started by Stacy (outside crow shape & background) onto Martha, (face) and third step (right below) I got to finish :) If you get the chance to take part in Martha's Challenge in the future I highly recommend it, I enjoyed working with my first Aussie team so much (Denthe & Sandra thanks for the fun!) I joined TWO more!

Although posting late I continued with the challenge... and got 'close' to 29 Faces, best effort so far and I may still add some 'late arrivals', so here we go...

I found some beautiful little origami squares, each really didn't need me to do anything to them... or maybe just fold them BUT I painted faces on them, each inspired by the Japanese paper square itself :)

Way cool textures underneath! They echo the patterns above, and make it seem like these women are creatures of the forest. How did you do that? With stamps and acrylic gel medium?
