April 9Write a poem inspired by something created by you

NaPoWriMo with Magaly Guerrero 2015
Cooking & wondering what I could post for Day 9 & I looked down at what I was stirring as it simmered on the stove.

April 8. Weave a poem that explores the difference between hurt and harm.

April 7. Conjure up a poem that describes a person, creature, or thing from any mythology.
NaPoWriMo with Magaly Guerrero 2015
While I always seemed to turn up in ripped jeans and car full of kids and crap that fell out of doors when they opened at school drop off, receiving scornful looks from other parents, I dreamed the dream (and decided against) transforming into a... Domestic Goddess...

April 6. I will do it in Thirteen Weeks
Your poem should list three achievable goals, which you would like to accomplish within the next thirteen weeks.
NaPoWriMo with Magaly Guerrero 2015
I apologise to the poets everywhere, but having fun, so...

April 5Address your poem to a fictional character or a historical figure
NaPoWriMo with Magaly Guerrero 2015
My mum moved to a new reside a year ago and sent me some of my artwork I had done at school she had kept at the family home, the 'old' discoloured pen & ink below, accompanies my 'new' 'Oh Dorian' as voiced by fictional character & artist Basil, inspired (both then & now) by...
"The Picture of Dorian Gray" penned by the brilliant Oscar Wilde.

April 4. Feeling so Deeply it Hurts

This is fantastic, Shelle! The presentation, your very original style (like a limerick that had just enough rum to sound chatty and delicious).

I'm so happy your Muse was born. Because she feeds you (and because the rest of us get to enjoy her offerings, too).

Saints and Batman. Perfect!

Being able to create, means you are never alone. :)

Dang! The etch-a-sketch piece made me giggle and the paper doll one was very powerful. Nice 1 -2 punch of poetry!

On Day 2: Shelle, I read the poetry thrice and will probably look at the drawing many, many times... with my hand over my heart. That "Remove Me" at the end cuts deep. And the style, a glimpse of a world of playthigs and paperdolls, it's wonderfully effective. Wow.

The Artwork sealed this for me. The poem was wonderful and hard, but the image gave it real punch

Day 4: I read it three times, once aloud and given different characters different voices. I hate those angels, too.

The black and white of the artwork tell poem visually, I love that. And the face of the angel... blank.

How did I miss Day 3's crowned prince? Hahaha! Is it horrible that his talkative nature, and um... his shapely self, reminds me of at least 4 politicians?

Terrible, I know. And completely unrepentant. ;-D

Your illuminated poems are so exquisite! Words by themselves speak to our minds; art to our hearts... but the two together encompass our souls.

And then to share the soul with the world as you have here... brave. Poignant. Whimsical. Heart-filled. Love.

You have some really wonderful range with your words. I cracked up over His Majesty and felt the ache caused by greedy angels.

Fantastic illustrations and words combined. A unique and playful style of word artistry.

Day 5: I've always had a not so strange fascination (considering who I am) with dearest Dorian's tale. This drawing reminds me of my earliest thoughts about him: carnal hurt and horror. Today, I see Dorian suffering more... I think we've both grown in our art. You and I, I mean. Dorian will always be Dorian.

Day 6: Hahaha! The poem sounds like the inside of my head when I think of the challenge. But we shall paddle forward, right? Because if you leave me on my own on this, I'll fly to your house to beat you senseless. I will hug you, too. But first the beating.

Those beautiful angels next to your poetic rant make a wonderful contradiction and bring balance. ♥

Day 7: Your words paint it truly and your colors say it well: it's not worth the price, methinks. Ripped jeans and late arrivals all the way!

Day 8: So much pain oozing out of everything... some of it, dragging vital bits as it rips out of the body and soul.

The domestic goddess poem cracked me up with its snarkiness!

Day 9: The best grandmothers want us to learn from their bests and add our own kind of awesome to the mix, methinks. I think your grandma would be all pride and popping chest at the sight of your recipe... or at least, she should be.

Can I have some? Please.

It's nice to have that bit of legacy from the past through food. Of course things change, that's the way of recipes and fashion. But there's something almost like time traveling in exploring those things that made our ancestors happy.
